Dr. Anthony & Lady Jevonal Cooper Our Pastor and First Lady
Miracle Temple Baptist Church has made its presence in Newport News for more than 127 years. Dr. Anthony R. Cooper was ordained as pastor of Miracle Temple Baptist Church in Newport News, VA, in April 20ll.
In 1982 Dr. Anthony Cooper married his lovely wife, Lady Jevonal Renee Cooper. They both are natives of Rocky Mount, NC, and resided in Atlanta, Georgia, for twenty-one years.
Dr. Cooper received a “Master’s Degree in Law at Regent University, 2018.” Dr. Cooper received a “Doctorate in Theology” from Andersonville School of Theology in 2009, a “Masters of Theology” from Christian Life School of Theology in 2004, a “Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Education” from Beulah Heights University in Atlanta, Georgia in 2000 and currently pursuing a “Doctorate in Philosophy of Leadership” from Beulah Heights University.
Dr. Cooper has authored six books, Breaking Through Dry Walls, Beyond Your Imagination, Love in The Garden of Eden, 52 Thoughts for Daily Living, Victorious Thinkers and The Power of Images. Dr. Cooper is an entrepreneur, counselor, Supreme Court, Corporate, and Private certified mediator, teacher, and adjunct professor.
Lady Jevonal R. Cooper, a native of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Brewton Parker College in 2012 and MBA from Beulah Heights University in 2022.
Dr. Anthony and Lady Jevonal Cooper love everyone and believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to be successful. Miracle Temple Baptist Church is a great place to worship and hear the voice of God.

Our Minister
About Our Pastor & First Lady
Dr. Cooper received his pastoral ordination of Miracle Temple Baptist Church in Newport News, VA, in April 2011. Many years before that, in 1982, he married his lovely wife. They are natives of Rocky Mount, NC, and have lived in Atlanta for 21 years.
